Bristol, VA

I had the privilege to stop in Bristol, VA on my way home this week. It is the birthplace of country music and a small town in Appalachia. There is a Smithsonian-affiliated museum in the town, and a lovely hotel beside it. After being on the road for about 8 hours, I knew my limit was close to reached and I should stop. While there I briefly heard a great bluesy country band that I can't remember the name of. I want to get back to enjoying practicing each day. Like, really making music, not just practicing. It is all in the mind, the places that we really go.
